At Speak Through Play, Inc., we provide compassionate, evidence-based pediatric speech therapy designed to meet each child where they are and help them grow with confidence. Our play-based approach keeps therapy engaging while targeting meaningful, functional communication skills that support success at home, at school, and beyond.

We specialize in speech sound disorders and pediatric myofunctional therapy, while supporting children with a wide range of speech and language needs. Services are available for children approximately 12 months and up, with a strong focus on family involvement and practical strategies that carry over into everyday life.

Meet Lupe
Founder, Speech-Language Pathologist
I’m a licensed pediatric speech-language pathologist and the founder of Speak Through Play, Inc. I work with children and families throughout Westchester, NY and Connecticut, as well as virtually throughout NY and CT.

I have extensive experience supporting children with a variety of communication needs, with a clinical focus that includes speech sound disorders, Childhood apraxia of speech and speech and language development. As a bilingual Spanish-English SLP, I have a particular interest in bilingual language development and supporting children and families across languages.
​
As a mom of three, I understand how communication impacts everyday family life. My approach is warm, engaging, and play-based, with a strong focus on helping children communicate with confidence.

First Appointment
At your first visit, we will perform your child’s evaluation. Be prepared to discuss your concerns in depth. After the caregiver's interview, we will start the evaluation which consists of lots of playtime, language sampling and testing. At the end, we’ll share some preliminary findings and recommendations.

Begin Therapy
Therapy sessions are personalized and goal oriented for your child.
At the end of the session you'll have a good understanding of the goals targeted and the activities done. this way you'll have a good understanding of how to bring therapy sessions home for practicing what they've learned at Speak Through Play.
Here at Speak Through PLay, Inc., our primary focus is always on the families we serve. To ensure we can dedicate ample time to each family, we operate on a fee-for-service basis and do not have contracts with insurance providers. Upon request, we can provide a detailed superbill for you to submit to your insurance. Please note we advise that families check with their insurance provider beforehand to confirm out-of-network benefits and potential reimbursement.
